In Acts 27:9-22, Pastor Melvin shows us that living a life of faith means that sometimes we have to listen to the preacher instead of the professional. When we listen to the Lord instead of our experience and realize that nothing that really matters is at stake, our courage will no longer be based on our condition. We can be of good cheer and know that God is great, and God is good.

How do we get from where we are to where we need to be? Waiting until "later" is dangerous. Through God's Spirit and his Word, we can make changes now!

Expounding upon 2 Corinthians 12:7-9, Pastor Melvin shows us that "all, y'all, Paul" have a thorn in the flesh from Satan, but God knows what you struggle with, and he uses your trials to bring you closer to him.

We do not need to hide like Gideon was in the Judges 6:7. God calls us, like he did Gideon, "mighty men of valor." We are able to go forward because God is with us!
